BUILDING A POWERHOUSE ROUTINE FOR BUSY WOMEN

In this post I'll be talking about something that could just possibly change your life! Habit stacking. It's a brilliant method that links new habits to your existing ones, creating a chain of actions that's super easy to follow. Think of it as a way to streamline your day, reduce decision fatigue, and establish those consistent routines we're all craving.

Now, we all know how precious time is. That's why habit stacking can be a total game-changer. It helps you weave in different elements such as self-care, family time, or personal goals without feeling like you're constantly behind.

The Role of Stationery in Habit Stacking

Here's where the stationery bit comes in. You see, things like planners and habit trackers can be brilliant visual cues and triggers to help you stick to your habit stack. They serve as little reminders to perform those key habitual actions, which is so important when you've got a million and one things on your plate.

Plus, they can really help you become more organised and productive. Colour-coded tasks for different areas of your life? Yes, please!

It makes it such a breeze to see things clearly and keep everything organised.

Creating a Habit Stack with Stationery

So, the first step is to identify those existing habits you can use as anchors. Maybe you already have a morning coffee routine - well, why not stack a quick journaling session or daily planning on top of that? Start small and build it up from there.

Now, for the stationery bit. Think about what tools could support your habit stack. A daily planner page is great for scheduling.

One more word about habit trackers. Although we have a dedicated Monthly Tracker inside our stationery club, our members have also used our Monthly Calendar to track habits as the larger boxes are great for adding additional information about your habit - maybe you want to note how many miles you ran, calories you consumed or pages you read of that book.

Practical Examples for Busy Women

Let's bring this to life with some real-world examples. How about a morning routine habit stack that goes something like:

  • wake up,

  • quiet time or gratitude and reflection time,

  • quick exercise, and

  • plan the day in your planner

Or an evening wind-down habit stack with;

  • tidy-up time,

  • end of day journaling, and

  • prepping for tomorrow using a to-do list

And for all you wellness warriors out there, try stacking;

  • meal planning with a nifty meal prep planner page,

  • journaling for 5 minutes on your health goal, and

  • jotting down three things you're grateful for each day in your journal.

Tips for Consistency and Flexibility

Now, the key is to start small and build gradually. Don't try to overhaul your whole life at once - that's a one-way ticket to 'Burnout Central'. Begin with just one or two habits, get them firmly in place, and then slowly (and I mean slowly!) add more.

And remember, your routine doesn't have to be set in stone. If something's not working, don't be afraid to mix it up. That's the beauty of habit stacking - you can fine tune your routine and use different stationery bits to adapt as you go. The goal is to find what works best for you and your family.

Inspiration and Motivation

I know change can be daunting, but hear me out. I've chatted with so many other busy mums and women who've transformed their lives with our stationery. One lady told me how our Monthly Tracker helped her lose 10 pounds! I love how it really helped her to stay motivated to check in with herself and her goal.

Another shared how she's so grateful to have pretty paper to plan on! It's so rewarding to see how exciting and inspiring the future is, you know? And I know that using pretty stationery really helps keep you motivated, even on those tough days.

So as I wrap up, I hope that you can see how linking your new habits to existing ones and using pretty stationery to help you, will allow you to streamline your routines, reduce stress, and make time for all the important bits.

Why not start your own habit stack today? Join our stationery club to get pretty stationery every month! Then begin small, be patient with yourself, and watch as your powerhouse routines starts to take shape.
